America's Discrimination?

~The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart~ Hellen Keller

CELULITE SALLY is one thing people don't want to be labeled as. If you notice women these days ARE pressured more into looking a certain way then men are. Women have to be looking pretty, hair all nice, there bodies toned, skinny, have to have the fashion, and basically look like a million dollars. If women don't look a certain way then they are basically called ugly or trash. My question is why does scociety put so much pressure on women.

Jessica Simpson right now is taking the heat for putting on a few pounds. CNN, Entertainment, and etc. have been bashing her with her image now and what she looks like from the old Jessica. Scociety is so funny the economy is going down wayyyyyyy fast and people are losing so many jobs, but yet again people are worrying about her weight? This was a comment made by a person who put their input about Jessica's Simpsons weight "Those of you who think she looks healthy are idiots. She's fat and you tellling everyone to leave her alone and that she's beautiful are ruining this society. Thirty years ago people were thin and healthy because they were active and they ate vegitables. Look at people in other countries, they would say Jessica is fat. FYI--she's at an effing chilli cookoff! What? Did she snork down all the chili." This comment just shocks me. So by being "fat" (obviously this person doesn't know what fat is) it ruins our scociety? Come on get real....

This stress on women also puts things into little girl's minds. I've heard of girls who cry all the time because they want to fit in in any way they can. Most people not only change their looks but also change how they act. Scociety has put so much pressure on how woman should look and act. These things affect little girls and let alone women in general. If you really look at it it's like being sexist. In the news you will once in a blue moon here about celebrity men being "fat", but let me tell you when a celebrity women is seen looking a little overweight it's front page news.

Scociety definately looks at women more than men. I wish and hope that things will turn around for women. Looking at things now though I don't think it'll ever change.
