The KKK

“White Power,” is what you would here if you were near the KKK. KKK stands for Ku Klux Klan and they are a terrorist organization that opposes African Americans, Jews, and any other minorities. The KKK was created in 1865 after the civil war ended; it was created to restore white supremacy. The organization decreased between 1868 and 1870, and then finally Ulysses S. Grant ended all of it. Later in 1915 the KKK was found again and majorly grew after WW1. The violence started to raise there were a lot of lynching, beatings, attacks in public and houses, and even murders. Their symbol was burning the cross to intimidate the people.
The Klan decreased during the Great Depression times and fell during WW2. During the Civil Rights Movement the KKK was named out a lot and they were convicted of manslaughter and murders. They had a problem with what is called “The Jim Crow Laws” meaning separate, but equal. African Americans had every right to what whites had, but it had to be seperate. The KKK of course did everything they could to decrease this. The KKK started to decrease more in to the early 1990’s and still from this day there are over 40 groups of them left.
My concern is with Obama being president will this rise again? On the internet it says that the KKK has endorsed Obama and they said that they would rather vote for him than Hillary Clinton any day, but the funny thing is that is a rumor spreading all over the internet. Why would the KKK after 50 years start supporting an African American? There is a clan called “The Knight’s Party” lead by Thomas Robb says now the whites are the minority and they will do anything to protect white supremacy. There are also videos that say he will be assassinated if elected president. Have you noticed though that all the great presidents get assassinated; for example JFK, Lincoln, McKinley, and Garfield. There have already been rumors going around that some people were going to his campaign and had AK’s in the back ready to assassinate him. We could have all predicted this racial thing was going to happen, but it’s great to finally have a change in America having our first ever black president. America has came a long way from what it use to be and for all the people out there that have a problem with other diversities I feel really bad for you.
